About Us
Capturing the heart of early childhood, one memory at a time
At The Carrots, we believe childhood isn’t just a phase, it’s a story worth telling beautifully.
Founded in Auckland by a passionate early-years photographer, The Carrots Early Memories Photography was born from a simple but powerful idea: to honour the joy, chaos, and wonder of early education through high-quality, artistic photography. We don’t believe in stiff poses or factory-line processes. We believe in real moments, playful giggles, muddy fingers, and the sparkle in a child’s eye when they feel seen.
We are proudly building a photography experience that’s as thoughtful and premium as the memories we capture. Every image we deliver is a small piece of a much bigger story — yours.

Our Story
The Carrots didn’t begin with a business plan.
It began with years of quiet observation — in classrooms, through camera lenses, and behind the scenes of school photo days.
After working in the early childhood photography industry across different countries, I saw the same patterns emerge: miscommunication between companies and centres, overwhelmed parents unsure of how Photo Day even worked, and a growing concern over where their children's images would end up. There was a gap between what parents wanted and what they were given. Between what centres hoped for and what they received.
And I knew it could be different.
So I started building The Carrots — not overnight, but soul by soul, insight by insight, frame by frame.
With time, I crafted a gentle method to photograph young children — one rooted in empathy, playfulness, and patience. My approach isn’t about posed perfection. It’s about connection. It’s about finding the exact moment when their little personalities shine — and capturing it, effortlessly.
